Alluvial Soils are deposited by rivers. The main features of these soils are derived from deposition laid by tributaries of Indus, Ganges and Brahmaputra rivers systems and divided into Khadar and Bhangar. These soils are generally poor in organic matter and nitrogen, but fairly rich in P20S and K20, but alluvium on the Banks of rivers are fertile.
